FC Barcelona midfielder, Yaya Touré played down the importance of being leaders in the League after only two rounds and concluded that the victory in Getafe gave Barca more confidence for the upcoming matches, particularly for the Wednesdays Champions League clash vs. Inter Milan.
Inter and Getafe
Toure , who has appeared on Sunday`s news conference, explained that for a club like FC Barcelona it`s normal to have a busy schedule: “Barcelona are a great team and we have many players that can jump in and relieve the players that are fatigued. And as for the Inter match, we have 2-3 days to rest and prepare and I`m sure that we`ll all be in the better shape than we were prior to Getafe match.”
When asked again how does the team feel after the victory at Getafe, Toure played down the importance of being first on the table: “The important thing now is to get confidence.”
On Messi and Iniesta
Meanwhile, the Ivory Coast midfielder has also spoken about Messi and Iniesta, two players who came in the second half against Getafe and contributed to Barca victory: “They’re two great players. Both Messi and Iniesta are very important players for FC Barcelona and everybody saw it yesterday.” In addition, Toure, was pleased with Iniesta`s return and has not hesitated to assert that “after Messi, the second Golden Ball should be Iniesta.”
Duel Ibra-Eto’o
Wednesday`s Champions League clash between Inter and FC Barcelona will also be a match-up of two strikers, now former players of Barca or Inter. Ibrahimovic will return to Milan, while Eto’o will be reunited with his former teammates. Yaya Toure refused to compare them because “they are two very different players with great quality. The Ivorian international was also clear that his team won`t deploy special tactics for Inter: “Barça is a team that cannot sit back. We are not used to play any different than possession and attacking football”.
